Text

Wine, Horseshoes, Old Salvador, And My Good Fellas Phil and Bil explores personal identity, migration, and the feeling of isolation that comes with navigating between different worlds.

Inspired by the story of Caramelo, an Andalusian horse living in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the work reflects the artist’s own experience as an immigrant.

The changes in the artist’s homeland have blurred memory, while the new life being pursued feels distant and unattainable.

Like Caramelo, who stands on an island of isolation, the artist feels trapped in the gap between reality and dreams, the past and the future.

Combining AI image and video generation with 3D animation, the film creates an absurd yet relatable experience that invites viewers to step outside reality.
