Kiyomi Kobayashi: Memory is a concept short film and the second film of the Kiyomi Kobayashi series. In 1872, Kiyomi Kobayashi is refrigerated by the shogun. Three hundred years later in Tokyo, she is resurrected and transformed into an artificial human, becoming a secret weapon for assassination missions.
Kiyomi Kobayashi: The Mask is the intro video of part two of the series, following the Kyoto geisha in Tokyo in 2192 after imprisonment, freezing, resurrection, and bodily transformation.
Kiyomi Kobayashi: Sword and Fire is part one of the series, portraying an imagined Kyoto in 1872. Kobayashi and Hideyoshi fall in love, but war separates them forever.
The series asks viewers to consider the cruelty of war and the status of women within those times.
